At Thistlerose I grow beautiful, scented cut flowers in the historic village of Shenley Brook End, Milton Keynes. Many of the gorgeous flowers, textural grasses and quirky seedpods I grow and create your bouquets and arrangements with, you won’t find on your local highstreet.

I use a variety of organic growing methods and compost all plant waste and am delighted to say I have a variety of bees, butterflies and other insects and wildlife come to pay a regular visit. For the growers amongst you I use a mixture of mainly ‘no dig’ and traditional dig methods of cultivation.

I grow mainly in my garden and on my cutting patch in the village between April and September/October. Flowers are picked to order when they are at their best and conditioned before creating your special bouquet, arrangement or installation.

...and prefer to use my own flowers, but occasionally I will source flowers from other local growers during the growing season, depending on time of the season and the extent of your requirements. Out of the growing season, I will source from British growers, local non-farm suppliers and use seasonal foliage, berries and twigs as much as possible.
